She sounds like a real piece of work to be around, I wouldn't even want to bring her with to places. She can't seem to make up her mind. She knows she hates it there but goes anyway. She should know her limitations and not go to places she knows she can't handle. Why can't her mother go with her?

Her mother basically had other plans since it was a holiday and so she went to spent the day with her parents while this girl came with us since it was a birthday celebration.

Her mother did make it clear to me that A) She did not like places like amusement parks B) Her daughter can be a real hand full. C) She pretty much stays home for the most part either sleeping or watching tv while not improving her skills.

I really think that this girl likes to look up to the higher functioning people on the spectrum since she is constantly trying to fit in and is a struggle. I understand that as I have been there. At the same time, I like the rest of my friends only have so much tolerance for ill-behavior.

It sounds to me like it was just too overwhelming and distressing for her.

It's easy to say that she shouldn't have gone then but then people will complain if she never leaves the house and tries anything. Maybe she thought she could handle it or wanted to try.
