I get completely destroyed by criticism. I smile and pretend to be okay, but inside I just want to die. I don't even understand why I'm so sensitive – I wish I could have thicker skin!

But one thing that's helped me is to realize that criticism says more about the other person, than me. A kind and compassionate person will treat me in a way that is kind and compassionate, whereas a hurtful, insensitive person will treat me in a way that is hurtful and insensitive. I'm the same, in either scenario, and so it's really more of an indicator of who they are, than who I am.

Yes. Most people are hypocrites, but the critiscism can still be used to improve yourself, and be a better person that the one who gave it. Also about that oversensitive part, get some therapy. I'm not saying this as an insult, but i'm this as actual helpful advice. Being that much sensitive is uncommon and can lead to many problems, including your reactions to critiscism.

I was a little confused why, in a thread where several people have admitted to having trouble with criticism, I was singled out, told that my sensitivity is "uncommon", and that (as per your subject line) I should "Get some help buddy".

Then I looked at your post history, and it became clear that the majority of your (eleven) posts on this site have been to rant against "p*****s" and say that people who can't take criticism should "quit their lives".

Out of all the people who have posted in this thread, I think you are the one who has the most disturbing attitudes concerning criticism, and could benefit from therapy. I would also ask a moderator to take a look at your post history, and decide whether it constitutes trolling, and merits disciplinary action.
