Hi, I go to Buddhist Church. At this point in my life, I am not afraid to tell the Christians that their religion is
outdate superstition by a bunch of sheepherding men who lived in desert long time ago. Simply let the lady
know that you don't buy it. I am 70 now and though I try to be polite to others, won't take their stupid
tales. Alice

Then you need to cut her out of your life. People like that are toxic. They're predatory, manipulative people with their phony smiles and empty praises.

I have Christian friends, but none of them have ever tried to convert me.

She probably sees you as a project and won't stop until you come clean with her and tell her that you don't appreciate her efforts to convert you. I would put it plainly and bluntly if I were you, tell her that you already worship other gods and have no desire to change that, if she continues to be your friend after that remains to be seen.

Understand something about Christians: we mean the best. Some have no clue that they are overstepping-- I wish they would see it! I have Asperger's and I can see when someone isn't open! Please try to be merciful to this lady. She most likely is alarmed by the idea that you are on a path away from eternal life, and would like to help you get on the path to it. This in itself, if you think about it, is a caring thing, even if you don't want to be approached about it. I see it this way: she only should have addressed this subject once. If you were not open, then she could have let you know that she would be available to discuss it if you wished in the future. I agree that she needs to honor your choice and not push. After all, we believe that God Himself gave you free will; it is your own choice whether or not you will come to belief in Christ.

I know this hasn't been posted on in a while but I just had to commend you for your courage in standing up for the Christian faith and at the same time displaying the sort of loving and gracious attitude that Jesus commanded us to have. There are too many militant religious nuts around and I wish there were more Christians in the world like you. God bless you. :)

I'm a buddhist. My roommate in university was a Christian Mormon.

He would always tease me by calling me a "heathen" and "pagan" and "idol worshipper" and said I need to learn about Jesus because it's the gods plan for me... something like that.

So I told him since Buddhism is wrong I will stop being Buddhist, and beat the crap out of him to a bloody pulp.

He shut up after that.
