Have you tried apologizing to her even if you don't mean it?

Its just that it might be a good idea it allows her to realize that you care for her feelings as well as sending a message that you don't intend to upset her again.

1. She is still bitter at me because I used to hit and get hostile with her while we were growing up because she kept pushing my buttons and picking on me. Yet she has never really ever looked at herself. I know this because she blames others for her problems all the time.
2. She also thinks that she knows it all- for example, she thinks that autism is a mental illness because I lost my temper with her all the time.

Shahunshah- It's hard because I want to be loved and one would expect sisters to bond and get along all the time. Every time we are together, she's very rude. About 12 years ago, I went home for New Year's and though she hugged me and waved at me at the airport, the entire weekend, she avoided me every time I tried to talk to her. She also was very stingy about sharing things with me. It was "Don't you have your own or something?" She didn't make me feel welcome.

KimD- I unblocked her on my facebook account to see the wedding pictures and I left it open for a few days so I could say something and re-block her. Though I told her that it was rude to block me after I reached out, I said that I respect her space. I also apologized for making judgments on someone who I have never met and don't know, which is true. I had heard all kinds of negative things about him. Then I wished them the best of luck and moved on.

I really don't think you or anyone will be able to change her or make her reflect on her behavior at all. This happened with my Grandmother and one of my uncles, some people just prefer to be blind to their behavior rather than accept a bad truth. If she responds positively to you reaching out maybe it would be good to be just less intrusive on her personal life and try knowing what is going on with her, just letting her have her own way might be the best you can do.

Maybe she will not love you, but that is not the end of the world. You will still have a younger sister and parents who love and appreciate you even without her. From my experience of disliking some people, your sister is likely to carry allot of strong feelings against you. Maybe it would be good to just to avoid contact for the meanwhile and hope that her feelings against you ease over time. I am not going to speak for her but that is what happened in regards to myself over the years.

I talked to someone where I go to worship and they said that it sounds like a few things

1. She's is intimidated by the way I see the world because she doesn't live in my head herself and doesn't understand.
2. She's intimidated by me because of my intellect while she is artistic.

They found out and gave me a hug and said that it what me sister did was a bit of an owie.

Regarding the other, I got a birthday card from my parents with everyone's names except my sister. Believe me, I feel like I have a hole in my heart.

Summer_Twilight, I'm sorry this has been so hard for you--and for so long. It's natural to want and expect love and friendship from your family members--especially as supposed adults. It's mature and big-hearted of you to apologize and let her know that you'll still be there if she wants a relationship; I hope if she ever does reach out to you, it will only be in a very loving and giving way. You don't deserve to be hurt again. (hug)

I doubt it. She is so stubborn and angry that she is not even capable of growing.

I have no idea but I do know is that she is controlling and a bit shallow. She also seems to expect that the world moves over for her.

1. She is artistic
2. Funny

I honestly don't know what I would do here. I guess I would just give her space but look out for her, she sounds hard to live with so I wouldn't count on the marriage lasting.

You can't make people change they do it themselves and at the moment she doesn't want to.

They had been living together for over 8 years together but from what I understand, a lot of my family members are not really impressed with him. I have heard that he uses her for things and basically sits around playing videos games when he gets off work rather than help her do any chores. When it comes to meeting my family, he's evidently really quiet and stares at you. A lot of us think that he's somewhere on the spectrum.

That could well be the case and hey if he somehow gets diagnosed with AS then your sister may get a better understanding of you.

Anyways could I just ask but is it only now that you want to initiate contact with your sister or has it been that may for the past three years?

Well actually, she has her own business and I have been posting things on her website because she has some things that I am interested in buying. I have also complimented on her videos but she ignored them.

The only real reason why I found out that she had finally gotten married on the website.
