I've never been to one but I realise that it almost certainly would not be my scene. Hell, I don't like it when they play music too loud down the pub! :)

I don't go anymore, really, but I used to go pretty often. I liked it because I could watch people enjoying themselves (which I enjoy), there was never any pressure to talk, I could drink relatively peacefully, it's usually dark, and I liked the vibration.

I can't go to anywhere that's heavy on the bass. I LOATH woofers...I loath FEELING any music slam against my ears, even when it's a song I like.

I always feel uncomfortable when I am at the traffic lights and there is a car besides me with massive sub-woofers and the volume turned up...you know, when it is that loud that you can feel the insides of your neck shaking.

I hate that. We get that outside our house sometimes because there's a shop across the road and people park there while their friend goes in for a minute. They always have really terrible loud music on f0r ages.
