I don't "talk" to myself as such...but when in deep thought I sometimes just "mouth" the words without actually saying them...if that makes sense.

I do the exact same thing. Also I'll sometimes imitate other accents will talking to myself for no reason.

Haha me too. It's not very often, but I like to practice foreign accents. I once spent almost an entire day imitating the Scandinavian guitarists from Dethklok.

Yes I do. I don't exactly have conversations with myself. But, I verbalize a lot of my thoughts. Also, when I'm alone, I sometimes "rehearse" aloud what I'm going to say to someone that I'm scheduled to speak to later that day.

Very often... I do it more in private, and despite attempts to not do it in public, it slips out quite often. I often address myself as "you" and not "I", but not always. It happens more often when I'm deep in thought, or when I am doing something I don't do often and I find myself telling myself what I need to do (Despite already knowing what to do).

Actually, now that Bluesummers made me think of it.

I imitate people to myself a lot. Especially when it's a really obnoxious voice that eats at me, it's like imitating it myself makes the pain of listening to said person, go away.

Aren't a lot of surface thoughts a dialogue with yourself?

I think I have a form of pure obsessive or general anxiety where I go though loads of different scenarios (whether they are relevant to me or not) and I role play all the characters. I have some trouble with emotions in real life, but with these I take on some more emotions.

The scenarios can be totally random and not necessarily sympathetic to my views.

I don't like talking to anyone, including myself.

As long as I don't hear voices talking back, I will be talking to myself.
Although I sometimes disagree with myself and get into heated discussions with myself...
