A few online friends. A few real life friends (one of which is an Aspie). But mostly just my online friends.

NT's!

Most of my friends are NT's and bloody weirder than I AM! So it's easy for us just just have a laugh and hang out...

In the physical, I meet up with other aspies from various groups every month or two. I used to go out to lunch every Wednesday with a friend though her lifestyle has changed somewhat so thats occasionally now. I have an aspie/ADHD friend from schooldays in the early 1970s that I meet up with for a late lunch every so often and thats been it for real life this winter, summer takes me out more.

I have a wide range of friends from all over the world who I email regularly due to shared interests and some of us meet yearly in a pre-arranged venue in Europe. Last Autumn, I had them all here in London and spent a happy week catching up in real life.

I belong to a handful of forums (non-ASD boards) where I keep in touch with friends I have made and met IRL and share current interests.

Then of course there are family things I attend like birthdays etc.

I no longer go to church or other groups because I want to catch up with myself and live with less stress.

Edit: I also keep in regular phone contact with four of my favourite friends and I find that a lot less stressful than having to go out and meet in a crowded area.

I hang out with my dogs. Pathetic.

Nonsense, dogs are great company. :)

I hang out with all of my pets. I don't have a RL social life, not that I care much anyway. My mother is home most days in the afternoons so sometimes I go out with her.

I have a few close friends, and will sometimes hang out with them. But often I don't, even with them. If they ask me to, I will.
I usually hang out with my BF, then. I do sometimes go to the one nightclub, but I'd rather dance than hang out with most people--- a couple of drinks and good music make for a great cardiovascular good time. Besides, Ihave too many problems remembering people and their names.

Something doesn't compute here...

A bunch of people said that they hardly hang out with anybody except their girlfriend or boyfriend....

So if you don't hang out with anybody, where did the sig. other come from? Is there a kit to grow them that I haven't found yet?

I don't actually hang out much online. 3 or 4 forums only; no chat, no IM, no online dating. I look at it as a negative influence in my quest to be more interactive with the people around me.
