How can I keep my rights from being violated in my own home?

You should set up a hidden camera so you can know for sure what she's doing in your office. Then you'll be able to make better decisions on how to handle it. Also, this site http://www.cyberwalker.com/article/206 discusses ways to track the activity of your computer when you're not there to personally keep an eye on things. It covers programs that take regular interval screenshots, key loggers, and more.
