I have a low, booming voice with a upper-midwestern accent, similar to Jesse Ventura.

I have a London accent and my voice is a fairly deep for a girl. I also stutter a bit when I talk, not alot but I have trouble getting out what I want to say quite a bit. It's not really too noticable but I notice it and some ''friends'' have pointed it out aswell so I guess it is kinda noticable lol.

I never really thought of myself as having an accent until I spoke to someone I knew from Yorkshire and I compared how I sounded to how she sounded. I can be very common/cockney (although I'm not from East London) sometimes using phrases like 'Cheers' and 'Mate.' for friends :)I also have this weird habbit of saying 'yeah' after things such as when saying goodbye to someone I would say. 'I'll see ya later yeah' I can also be very proper and use phrases such as 'Why thank you kind sir'....

My voice usually copies the peson I'm talking to. When it doesn't it's very monotone.

I tend to copy phrases.

Always talked through my nose. Had speech therapy as a child, trouble with 's'. People used to ask me where I'm from. (I'm Amurican, and they meant which state.) We moved around a bit when I was young as my dad was in the USAF. I also use British phrases as most Amurican phrases are dumb. I also make up slang and people wonder "where did you hear that?" Made it up.

I get asked where I'm from, as well. I tell people that I'm Canadian. They tell me, "you don't look/act/sound Canadian!" Take your pick - They'll pick out one of those things to tell me.

I've become too monotone recently.

By the way, I like Canadian!

Also, CockneyRebel, there have been petitions out recently to bring back the Routemasters. I look at them in photos and I weep. I miss the Routemasters. I used to hop off them while they were whizzing down the High Street and nearly kill myself in the process, but I loved them and I still love them. Long Live Routemasters!

{That was profound}

My voice apparently sounds deeper to others than to myself - I'm always surprised when I hear recordings of it that it sounds so deep.

I also got called "posh" in school because I have (or had, I've no idea whether I've lost it or not) a Kentish accent, and I was going to school in Suffolk (basically, I'd moved from a pretty middle-class area to a largely rural part of England). In any case, it's often not my voice that I use to convey emotion or energy in my speech - in fact I was told just yesterday that I can announce very strange/inappropriate things in a rather matter-of-fact way, as if they're not even all that unusual - instead, I accompany my talking with lots of flappy hand gestures, which can often get out of control.

I hope that the petitions get lots of signatures. I'd sign them, if I was in London. We need those old Buses back.

Ding! Ding!

I've been described as posh because I go to a top-rate independent school in central London, which apparently makes me "posh" without me actually doing much. Also, it seems that for NTs, if I don't use "like", "you know" and "totally" a lot, and if I don't drop my h's (and various other letters), I am "posh". But I like this "posh" attribute. :)

Although male, I'm told that I sound like a gay man with a cold. My dad never talked much, and I'm pretty sure he has a touch of AS too, so I learned my speech and mannerisms from my mom, and only changed the ones that caused me to be a target in school. Now everyone thinks I'm gay. I am not, and couldn't be more glad, not to sound homophobic. If I were, it would be a train wreck. I don't identify with males unless they're exceptionally talented or interesting.

I don't have an unusual voice, but I can come across as more than a bit quiet sometimes.

I've done a voice clip so you can all hear my dulcet tones, which you will find here (http://download.yousendit.com/FCFD45D8666A830B, available 7 days from original post). :)

I speak at a high rate of words per minute. Like twice as fast as the typical Texan. So
people do think I'm from somewhere else. I tend to talk in a high pitched cartoon voices around kids and family. When I play sing I tend to use a high pitch voice and a music major who was a great singer says I could sing soprano.
