Your level of social phobia is 68%

Slight phobia. Your answers suggest the presence of some symptoms generally associated with social phobia. You happen to feel unease and worried when you have to be among other people, even when there's no reason to feel this way. We advise you to work on your fear of social contexts and not to let it subdue you, because the risk is to start avoiding social situations and worsen the symptoms. Leave a comment if you liked this test.

i dont know what scale they use but its kind of odd that even thought i answered most of the question at medium, i have slight phobia...

Your level of social phobia is 87%

Strong phobia. Your answers to our test suggest the presence of a strong social phobia. It looks like you are frequently subdued by anxiety and worry when you think of yourself among other people. In this way you happen to avoid social situations with the purpose of keeping bad sensations away from you. By avoiding others you won't defeat your discomfort; our advice is to face the problem inch by inch, concentrating on anxiety-causing elements and trying to see their positive implications (for example: new friends, more respect by others, better self-confidence etc.).

"you level of worry/anxiety aroused by the following thoughts"

Except I'm not there.. I don't worry about abstract things that haven't happened. So I'd have to answer 'none' to all the questions, if truthful.

I had to take this to mean 'last time this happened'... even then, the exact situation would result in different responses in most cases.

Sounds about right to me, I wouldn't really say I have a social phobia. Yes, sometimes I feel uneasy, but doesn't everyone to a degree? That's probably why they score ~50% (a seemingly "significant" percentage) as "few symptoms".

I can imagine it would vary from day to day though.

Hmmm... like with the aspie quiz, I think I'm going to calculate some averages...

50% for me. I do feel uncomfortable being watched unless it's by family members. Meeting new people and eye contact I also have trouble with.

But I do not avoid these situations. That's not the right thing to do. I don't want to hide in my house. So I'm anxious all the time. Trade-off, I guess? It explains why I"m always having hot flashes, though.

Most of my issues are related to anxiety and what will happen during a moment of anxiety. I feel awkward in social situations.
