does anyone fancy meeting up for the darwin exhibition in london ( http://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit-us/whats-on/darwin/ ) it costs about 10 pounds.

I think after xmas might be best as it will be less busy perhaps?

let me know what you think :D

I think it is an excellent idea. I have quite a number of people who said they were interested in future meets and the regulars I can contact. NHM is great and it makes a change from the Science Museum. Only problem with it is the dinosaur section is crammed into the least spacious part IMO (and some of the exhibits in the mammal section date from the 1970s 8) )

I have been meaning to organise a meet, but I been pretty antisocial of late. We kind of did meet up pre-Christmas last year but we have kind of left it too late this year, and you are right it is going to be crammed.

Anyway, congratulations you are now organising a meet :D Do you have any idea when you would want to hold it?

hi O_equals_true :D

I am free on the 20th dec, Im not sure when I am free in jan yet. I will post some possible dates after the weekend.

It would have to be on a saturday or weekday for me as the trains are always bad on sundays.

I think it would be so amazing at the museum as there is so much there and Darwin is fab.

what dates suit everyone?

Anyone from the Portland, OR area care for a meet-up later in the month?

I am thinking of having lunch at Lloyd Center, shopping at the nearby Dollar Tree,
then nerding out at Powell's Books.

If interested, PM me so we can work some sort of arrangement!

I want to ask a question and I want to know if anyone else on this board feels the same way. When you see two best friends or a number of them, do you wonder how or why they have that speical bound?. I find it hard to describe or maybe I'm just jealous.

This needs to be in a separate thread. Yes I did, to a certain extent I still do, but I have some sort of bond with my friends now. It can be awkward still to understand but you can have something, it doesn’t happen over night. It was a learning curve I only figure it out three years ago. 'Bonding' is actually real time input and output or 'reciprocal' friendship. That means you have to remember to make an effort and do you part, fortunately my friends are pretty forgiving/easy going so it is not something too strenuous. It is something that must be maintained though. It is not something that you achieve then that is it.

I'd go too, but London is 300 miles away by train, and I'm already going there anyway on the 13th Jan for a whisky tasting.

Thats a shame.

maybe you could organise one near to where you live, its very easy- just list a date and time and remember to turn up yourself :D
