I had more friends in high school, but I felt more comfortable in college.

I've only been in college for a year, but it's much better than high school because nobody there knows me well enough to hate me. In high school I had almost no friends, and most people would either ignore/avoid me or outwardly be patronizing. Sure, I haven't made any friends in college whatsoever, but I don't really care much.

College for sure. Especially since mine's a technical institute.

It's as if someone ran the high school attitudes and lifestyles through a BS filter that removed 98% of the problems and then deposited it there. Geeks are the best.

Some people think I'm really cool because of my differences. I never thought I'd see that.

I fared poorly in both, but high school was the worse of the two (by a significant bit).

I'm gonna say High school. I'm at college now and go there with my two mates from school, so at least I have people to talk to. Back in school I hanged with them and chatted the others as well, but there the only mates I have.

It's easier for me to make friends in college due to the fact that I'm not even trying. I really don't want anything to do with anyone there.

Socially, I think High School, because I didn't have to make such an effort to spend time with my friends: they were there every lunch hour. Of course, I didn't have any trouble with bullying or ostracizing. I went to an all-girl private school, so cliques didn't have the same sort of dynamic, and I guess I had a good group of peers.

I would say I'm a special case though. In High School you and your peers are still kids, and kids can be cruel and ignorant, but generally by the time you hit college, the students have grown up a bit.

In highschool people are not who they are or who they are going to be. They are vessels, filling themselves up with 'what they think' earns them a bit of reward.

By college, mostly, they come into contact with the rest of 'the real world' and the walking ground becomes more equalized.

Why do you give a **** about making friends? They either are-or they are not.

At the moment, college. Bearing in mind that I've only been there for oh, a week? XD But, yeah, so far college. I myself prefer to be on my own and only socialise when I feel up to it. In college, it's easier for me to distract myself with work and excuse myself from having to socialise. Also, people in senior school (high school) are just awful. I hated it. College is much better
