I'm starting to think that my problem with interaction isn't my mild autism so much as that my mind just doesn't think of things to say. If I never put effort into interacting, and listening to how OTHERS communicate and the things THEY come up with, I'd never have anything to say. That's how it was when I was a lot younger- almost vacant.

So, any thoughts? (Other than that I need to quit obsessing on WP over my deficits)

I used to be in social situations where I didn't know what to say. I later on discovered that not knowing what to say was caused by shyness combined with the the tendency to overanalyze. I don't know if your situation is the same as mine was, but maybe the way to overcome difficulties with meeting people is to say whatever is on your mind while also striking a healthy balance between thinking and acting.

I read your response earlier today, and put your advice to use right away. I'm surprised how well it worked. And, you explained your solution perfectly. Thanks man.
