Social communicating can be a complex thing, especially for an Aspie. So many books give so many advice of what you should do. The problem lies is what rule have precedence over others. Those books and people don’t seem to tell you what thought you should be thinking in a social situation. It is not possible or practical to think about everything at once and also conduct a good conversation with other people.

One approach that I thought might work is to use a loop system, the same used in an aeroplane pilot, who checks he flight instruments one after another in a loop. You have heard of the term “out of the loop”.

Example check their Eye contact, make eye contact, use body language, check their body language, your check tone, check their tone of voice. It is simply too much of an Aspie to cope with considering that an NT does most of this in the subconscious mind.

Visualization to me seems to be the only answer to this problem. Is it is possible to rehearse given scenario many times as you like, seeing yourself practicing many of those socializing techniques. Have to go know I will finish this some other time, ja
