Hello . I have a problem when somtimes I say somthing my intent does not always come across properly. E.G Someone was annyoing me the kept talk and talk so I ask them if they could be quite (but this time I had asked 4 times already) so I asked a 5th times so I was pretty blunt the 5th time. Apparently I sounded agresive when that was not my intent. Another incident was was when I said good bye to my teach after class and she said "dont say good bye like your never going to see me again" when again that was not my intention. What can I do to solve this problem of me acidently saying things in an unintentional way?

When you tell any of your teachers "bye" you can say instead "see you later" or "see you tomorrow" or "See you next week" depending on the situation like when you will be seeing them again.

If you have to tell someone to be quiet 5 times, they're the one with the problem, not you. And regarding your teacher: sometimes people just like to hear themselves talk. He or she should have just said good bye back to you. I hate when people say things like that - They think they're so cute:roll:

But yeah, you could just say see you later.

Some people are quite pedantic in the right "way" to say things whether they are NT or AS or in between.

So they will pick on what you say, like that teacher.

yeah I've done this several times. Not only does my intent come across incorrectly but I also can phrase somethings in ways that I don't see a problem with but other people find inappropriate or offensive. One of the things I've done to deal with this is to make sure anyone I am planning on talking, or chatting with for an extended period of time knows about my Asperger's and understands that if I say something that seems "off" or rude etc that they should just ask me if thats what I meant since I let them know I don't do that intentionally. It works quite well and has resulted in me having a stronger social life now that I'm in college then I ever had before. Haven't lost any friends due to misunderstandings in a couple years now.
