My roommate and I had decided to have a party at our house, it was our first annual sometime around christmas party. The idea was basically that we wanted to have a day to drink and hang out and people could come by and hang out whenever they want. We started around 1pm, people started showing up around 3pm and most of them ended up staying pretty late, they didn't really start leaving until around 11pm.

I invited a few people but it wasn't until the last minute and they were still in exams or busy, and I didn't invite a lot of people because my friends have become kind of lame lately so I don't want to hang out with them much. Most of the guests were my roommate's coworkers, he's a dance instructor.

I'd say that overall the night was a success, I had a lot of fun, the guests seemed to really enjoy themselves and one of his coworkers seemed interested in me, she's really attractive.

I just hosted my first party (at age 27 ) on Halloween with like 15 people from my program and it consisted mostly of playing beer pong deep into the night and then cooking and eating literally everything salvageable in my fridge. I'd say it was pretty successful.
