I really want to keep this person as a friend.

I am currently aiding in my school library with this girl and we've become friendly. I even worked up the courage to exchange e-mail addresses with her. She accepts that I am a wee bit odd but doesn't know I have aspergers. We have a lot in common but I'm scared that some of my odder actions might scare her away. Should I tell her about my aspergers or not?

Don't tell her unless you become quite a bit closer or it comes to the point where clearly an explanation is needed. We tend to overexplain ourselves. Many people accept odd habits. Maybe she will be one of those. No point explaining in advance, unless it really feels like the right time.

I think that's excellent advice! Sometimes I have explained too soon, and made things complicated that needn't have been. :?
