I think that I might. It's been 10 years since I've been. I keep putting it off until I have someone to go with.

Unless... anyone near southeastern PA want to meet up next weekend, 7/10 or 7/11?

I thought that you meant like that episode in southpark where cartman buys his own amusement park so no one else can come to it.

I don't like big rides, so I don't go to those anyway.

I like big rides, like roller coasters.

When I was in Vegas, I went to the New York, New York hotel (by myself) and went on the roller coaster. My husband is not a roller coaster fan, so if I want to enjoy this - I had to learn to be comfortable going alone.

BTW - many roller coaster fans travel alone all over the world to enjoy coasters - it is not unusual to be alone on a coaster.

I don't enjoy going to theaters or tourist traps by myself. I much prefer to go with a date or a wingman. I think part of enjoying things is the sharing of them.

Generally, no.

I went to Disney World by myself once. I was boring. Did the rides, but it lacked the "fun" I would have if at least one other person was there to share the experience with me.

What's wrong with going to an amusement park on your own? Not even the NTs can socialise on a damn roller coaster. Just go and have fun.

I have gone alone when our company held the company picnic at Herheypark-went for the picnic-walked around the park alone for a while watching others have fun (I am not a ride person persay-get dizzy) and headed back to the Philly area-it can be fun watching other people scream and have fun.

Okey dokey then...

After reading this thread, I took the whole famn damily to our local amusement park. The kids went on the kiddy rides, and I took the time to go on the roller coaster BY MYSELF.

I stood in line with all kinds of couples, friends and families and waited for my favourite seat at the very front. I sat by myself and yelled "YEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAA! and "WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" while making a "hang loose" sign and holding my hands over my head. :P

Fun, Fun and Fun.

When my dear husband takes the kids to see their grandparents, leaving me by myself. I think I'll go back to the amusement park and go on all the big rides!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Anyways, thanks for inspiring me to test the theory that it is indeed perfectly alright to enjoy an amusement park by oneself :P

I refuse to go to an amusement park without a woman who is very close to me or my little brother. Why my little brother? I spoil the little brat because he understands me like no one else does.

I wouldn't. There are too many punks out there, who take advantage of people from an earlier time, who are different.

I gathered my courage and posted an open invite to my Facebook friends to join me. No takers. Oh well, I guess I am on my own.

If I enjoyed them, I would. But I find them noisy and I hate hate hate the crowds.

Do you have any friends with kids? A lot of parents would be more than happy for you to take their young'uns for a day at the amusement park.

I would, I do alot of things on my own. Amusement parks are also a great place to meet people, or at least watch all the strange people go by. :P
