Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on the day and the mood I'm in.

At best, to me, it's a compliment. At worst, it's a mere statement of fact.

Only if it's like a happy wierd. I like waking up in the morning "Hello, my name is David and I make people happy."

I live for it.

Depends on my mood, how well I know the person, their tone, etc :)

I AM weird, so being called weird is like being told my hair is brown (it is brown, btw).

My name is Ben. People know that after learning that I'm weird.

I find it offensive.

Especially when i'm trying very hard to be normal.

I take it as a compliment.

And I act real smug about it too.

Assuming they mean something negative (that is, "you're weird" isn't code for "you're funny" or "you're interesting"), it bothers me a lot. It doesn't bother me because I mind people thinking I'm weird (though I did mind horribly when I was younger, when I wanted to fit in). It bothers me because I fear it will close some doors for my children and family. (If other mothers think I'm weird, for example, they may not let their kids play with my kids.)

Pretty much all my NT emulation is done in the service of my family these days.

I usually take it as a compliment too, and it shows they are honest I think
(better than looking weird at me for example, but nothing is said).

But of course depends on the context it is said.

Generally speaking, I do, too. I don't like hearing that stuff come from people who barely know me. It's worse when you can tell from the tone of the person's voice that they mean it in a bad way.

I turn most insults I received into compliments, so being called weird in any sense is always a compliment to me :)

My girlfriend said that "weird" is the best word about me

I do admit that when I found out someone I had only spoken to for short period of time (from my memory, less than half an hour) "knew" I was "different," that was a little unnerving, as I hadn't remembered acting strange when I was around them.

It's also apparently obvious almost immediately that I have low self-esteem, but I don't really think I'll ever quite kick that vibe.
