Annoying Acquaintance?
So I graduated high school early and went to school out of state to get away from people I knew in high school and middle school, because no one was really a friend worth keeping, save two or three people. And now, some girl I haven't spoken with for three years is texting me every five minutes, and I had to block her on facebook. But she's coming here, to my college that;s ages away from home, and it seems like she is trying to become my friend. I don't want to be her friend. Last time I tried that I had to leave my house for hours at a time just to get away from her phone calls ( this was before my cellphone). I thought she'd get the picture when I blocked her on facebook, but she still texts me all the time.
I don't want to be near her as she pushes my boundaries and tries to do everything that sets me off. I don't want to be her "college buddy" and I don't want to deal with her when she comes up here next year. What could I possibly do to get her off my tail? Have any of you ever had a pushy friend like this? I mean, I usually take the friends I get, but this girl just makes me want to scream!! !!
Have you ever just said it to her? I know that the direct approach can be hurtful but it is a clear indication of intent and it usually makes a normal person back off.
If you have already said to her that you don't want to be friends then I don't have a clue but if you haven't said anything it's worth a try.

PM's welcome.
I agree with LostAlien there can be hurt feelings but it should be important to take the direct approach.
I actually was on the receiving end of this many years ago. I had someone that I hung around with that I thought was a friend but they thought I was just barely tolerable. This person talked with me privately and said how he really felt. Yes I was hurt, but we both understood. Of course if this didn't happen then over the course of time there would be this simmering anger that would eventually blow-up and than I wouldn't know why and I would be even more hurt.
