I really couldn't think of what to put in the title. The topic of this thread is as follows:

I was recently thinking about the kinds of people I seem to attract, not as relationships, just "friend"ships. For example, the people I hung out with (around 5 people) from 7th to halfway through 10th grade were all stoners. I hate drugs and have never done any kind of drugs myself, but they were the only people that weren't averse to talking to me, so I hung out with them :P Then a couple weeks ago on a bus, some guy in his late teens or early 20's that was surely a stoner himself starting talking to me like I was his buddy; for some reason I must look like a stoner or something, because they all like me while no one else does.

Does anyone have comments or anything similar to this to share?

I tended to befriend band kids through high school. I was never in band, so I never really understood how I met and became friends with so many. But they were always very nice, and big on education and stuff, unlike many other kids my age. But now that I'm in college, most of my friends tend to be more along the lines of what I have interests in.

I was in band, with over 20 other people, but only was friends with one of them, who I sat next to. It was his friends that I later became acquainted with and hung out with. Who knows if I would've become his friend if I never switched from the cornet to the baritone and then sat next to him on the other side of the room.

My main friend of elementary school was in band too, a trumpet, but he became a douche going from elementary to middle school, so I stopped talking to him. :P

Yeah, they were all pretty accepting people, with the exception of one, who was Christian, and hated homosexuals. But they were kind to me, and included me in their out-of-school activities, like skateboarding or playing video games.
