Social Anxiety Groups?
Has anyone ever had any experiance of joining these?
Me and an aspie friend were thinking of going along to some of our local groups to branch out from our asperger social circles but we were not sure whether we would be "welcome" or whether having AS is a relevant reason to approach such groups?
This is more of a test run for us before we approach more mainstream groups in our local area as were wanting to just branch out and not have aspie friends 24/7 in our lives but have some diversity and people we share our interests with.
So anyone care to shead some light on what we are about to walk ourselves into?

I don't know what it would be like as I've never been to either kind of social group, but I think it would be interesting and I've been wachting this thread for a bit, hoping someone would be able to answer.
I think there'll probably be some overlap, as I'm officially Dx Social Anxiety but I'm pretty sure I have AS and there could be other people in that group in the same position, but as to if its a small overlap or a large one I've no idea.
I think it's a good idea though, and hope you have fun.
Maybe once you go you could come back and tell all about it?
