Faking it with emotions- acting all the time?

My husband has AS just like me This is a good thing and we understand each other. We both have this quirk where it sounds like we're reading a script. I'll have a conversation with someone else, and I'm trying to stay a step ahead of how I "should" react, or what I "Ought to" convey. It really sucks. He does it too! It's hard to tell when I'm being honest, cuz let's face it...I'm not a great actress
I think it shows. In fact, I'm so paranoid that I avoid making friends, so I can avoid conversation. I can raise my hand in my college classes and give a precise and calculated answer, or present a theory, but when it comes to making small talk...forget about it!

My husband ALWAYS sounds like he's acting. He says his thoughts don't slow down in enough time for him to catch them and convey them in a concise format. It's exhausting, trying to pick up on social cues and not look like I'm over-compensating for my extreme apathy towards any subject that does not relate to the grand scheme of things.

I find he-said-she-said chatter unbearable!! I can't stand listening to it, and I certainly don't want to be a part of it!
Why don't more people want to engage in intellectually stimulating conversation??

Sociopaths don't actually feel emotions, so they sometimes imitate them from observing other people. It's one of the many ways people with anti-social personality disorder(ASPD) are fake.

Well, I def think my Mother is a sociopath (I don't talk to her anymore for that very reason) But I don't try to manipulate people, or tell them what to do. I like people...I just can't relate to a goddamn word that comes out of their shallow little mouths. Maybe it's just NTs I can't stand, because my entourage of friends mainly consists of people who stand out as quirky individuals, with similar goals and intrests as myself. But they are few and far between. It's like I learned social skills from a manual with lousy pictures or something
