It seems that even 'nice' NTs (seemingly so) do horrible things to each other, and us.

They seem nice, but they aren't.

What are your experiences of this?

Can someone explain it to me...as it really doesn't make sense.

Had my intelliegence question both at school and work
Had glue thrown in my hair
Pushed down stairs
Tackled while walking down the hall
Someone tried to push me out a second story window

Had my TB scar constantly punched (I had TB as a kid, so I reacted very badly to the shot).
Had my shoes stolen so I had to walk all the way home barefoot in the snow.
Had my face pushed into mud and forced to walk round with face covered in mud.

This was in middle school, at the time I could talk and had friends, but my social skills were still bad enough that I acted strangely. I never understood my being different was seen as an excuse to do these sort of things, or why people would do such things to each other in general, but as far as I could see there was no reason and if people had no reason to do these sort of things then in turn there was no reason for me to waste my time thinking too much about it. *shrugs*

And what's to say that if the world weren't populated by people with AS that most of your bad experiences wouldn't be with people with AS?

I have been told to mind my own business when I was trying to socialize and take interest.

My Harry Potter book had been hidden once in art class so I missed the next 20 minute class looking for it because I refused to leave the art room until I found it.

Someone once hid the hair dryer in art class while I was using it to dry the paint on my portrait.

People putting fake phone numbers on my flier when I was getting rid of the puppies our dog had.

Being told to not worry about it and to mind my own business when I ask what's wrong when I see someone upset or crying. Then when I did start to ignore them, they tell me I don't care about others but myself.

It was okay for other kids to misbehave but not me.

I had been spat at in 6th grade.

Kids used to throw pine cones over the fence at me when I was eight.

I got a new coat when I was six and few days later I didn't have it anymore because these older kids took it from me and did something with it. Even the school couldn't find it because it never showed up in lost and found. These were actually special ed kids that took my coat. I dunno what problems they had but they did look like normal kids.

My two best friends teaching me the middle finger and told me to do that if anyone makes fun of me.

My two best friends telling me to hide in my bedroom closet and when I did, they ran home.

My old best friend making up stories about me on the bus every Monday morning when I be out seeing my shrink and also telling stories about me I did back when we were in second grade like me scratching her and she leave out the fact she was making fun of me or bugging me.

My best friends coming over to play with my stuff and then leave when they be through with it.

My best friend threatening to rip the Barbie heads off my dolls if I didn't do as she said. (I forgot all about this and mom told me about it)

Being told about a singer named (sexual term here) and I believed them.

When we first moved to Montana, this girl in my school tried to give me a drug saying it was candy.

When I was in drama, I always helped paint the set and I made a boo boo when I painted because someone had all these lines from where they draw the flowers so it made it confusing for me so I messed up painting. Then the kids said I couldn't help them paint the set anymore because they didn't want anymore mess ups. Even though I had suggested they can wait for the paint to dry and paint white paint over it and draw it again and problem solved but no they just wanted to fire me.

My brothers and their friends would occasionally make messes to upset me and then run.

Getting accused of showing off.

When I was 8, I was walking with these girls from my class and they took me to this part of grass on the playground and told me to walk on it. I did and they all started screaming and running and told me it was Joshua grass. Joshua was a name of a boy in our class whom everyone thought had rabies.

Always made fun of for how I talked.

When I was in third grade, I always played on these monkey bars and the second graders who played on them were always mean to me, made fun of how I spoke and didn't like how I had lot of accidents so they all said I was mean and acted like i did it on purpose.

Peers interrogating you. "Where are your clothes from?", "Are you gay?", "What are you thinking", "Have you ever done drugs?", "Why do you read so much?", nasty and innocent (seemingly!) questions mixed together, fired at breakneck speed. This is one of the horrible things, but it's not a tangible "crime" that you can draw the teacher's attention to. When something like that happens it's the same sort of feeling as sensory overload. Don't know if it's the same thing, but it's all...pounding in the ears, sight goes weird, they all look like they're much too close, looks really weird...

All this weird gossiping about who 'fancies' who.

They way they make fun of teachers who look a bit meek. It's so nasty.

I had awful experiences in school. Everyone seemed to hate me no matter what I did. It sucked being the only one with ASD around--maybe if there were more living around here, I would have had someone to relate to.
