The Society For Handicapped Children and Adults( and the local United Cerebral Palsy) will be having a free ball. The people running it have been told to do everything they can to make the partly work for all people. So no sugar in the foods and it will be all diabetic approved and stuff. There will be medical aide on hand should it be needed. The volume level and lighting level will be adjusted to not bother people (though I imagine they'd have to go with what the majority is ok with no matter what). It is a formal event so dressing up is encouraged. And a chicken dinner will be provided.
The party is at Del Rio Country Club (I don't know the address). It will be on Saturday June 18th 2011 and the party starts at 6 PM and goes to 10 PM .
I plan on going and if she answers her phone ever my friend will maybe go with me. I'm posting this in case anyone else in the area hasn't heard of it and might want to go. I know fancy parties aren't everyone's thing. They aren't really mine either but this one should be more bearable than the average party (I hope).
