A few months ago, I got into a conversation with a girl I knew from high school. A few days prior to our conversation, I saw her working at Family Dollar, so I suppose that's what prompted her to start write on my wall. Here's a transcript of our conversation. Do you think I probably dragged it on for too long and she maybe got bored?

My comments are in bold and hers are in italics.

hey dude lol
how yeh been?

Hi.

I've been well. I had to get my schedule for next semester worked out because one of the classes I signed up for got canceled due to low enrollment. :/

On the bright side, I'll only have three classes this semester. :)
...
How about you?

lol i have four & early lol
not so good for the beauty sleep lol, but i can manage haha
& i've been good to :P

My earliest class is at 11:30 in the morning, and the latest I'm up there is until 6:50. How early are you up there?
‎7:00am & the latest 12
At least you've got the whole afternoon off. :)
dudee i wrk remember lol
Oh, yeah. What days do you have off?
idk
lol

So you work every day unless otherwise notified? ;)
no i have a schedule, just idk diff days
Oh. I've never had an actual job, so I wouldn't know. :/
lol
mommys boy lol

No, I just have bad luck with job interviews, so I gave up trying.
r u serious
i think i do okay lol

Well, I haven't done a job interview in years, so I used to be bad at them. I might consider trying again.
So how long have you been working at Family Dollar?

like two months
What's it like working there?
cool
they are all nice.

I'd figure as much. It's a small store, so all the employeees must be close-knit.

Dunno. Seems like a lot of small talk. I think there was a lull of boredom in the middle, but then things picked up slightly. If she was bored enough, she'd stop responding. Is this a wall convo, PM, or chat?

It was a wall conversation.

I'm always scared of doing that. As Moog says; it goes quiet in the middle and then picks up in the end. I would probably leave it now, but I wouldn't fret about it :)

My personal rule is that if they ask me a question, I will respond and then ask another question. If they just answer my question and don't ask me anything about my life, I'll just be like 'hey, sounds great' or some kind of bland positive statement and leave it at that. Then the convo usually ends.

Like i said earlier Aspie's should not belittle themself...
dont tell about ur negative qualities
like u cant be sucessful in interviews etc

Robin Sharma says that be like the stars, dont let everyone know everything about you
keep a element of mystic.
