Trobble starting a convosation.

Worning: My spellings not good keep with me.

I got some friends who i talk to and well we are haveing the convostation it stops so i know i got to think of something to say so i said somethings and it was exstremly random and i think they can tell im random because they dont seem like there very intorested in talking about it.
And one time i called my friends mother to talk to my friend and i asked: Is ___ there?
She said yes yelled up to her takes her sometime to get down and as shes on the phone avreythings silent no talking nothing i thought it was fine. Then lader on my friend exsplanes to me that normley they keep a convosation going when your waiting for the other person.
Witch she was fine with it nothing was wrong or anything just it was acword i gusse.

Is this part of autism? or just me?

Btw one of the things i asked the guy whe the convo stoped was do you like the color yellow for a boy? and it keep being random stuff like that and between avreything id stop and think.

I don't know if it's autism or not... but I am not good at "small talk" in conversation. I'm perfectly content to sit on the phone in silence until the party comes to the phone, for example. Making conversation at that time feels phony and I can't think of anything to say. If the other person asks a question I know to respond politely and with a brief answer, but I don't like doing it.

XsamX, for your own benefit, I advise you to get familiar with the strucutre of WP. Posts about social issues are likely to receive little attention in this section.

So are you talking about at the start of the conversation here or during a conversation? In the latter case, it depends who I'm talking to but a lot of the time I don't know how to continue a conversation after saying "hi how are you" etc.



Unless the other person starts talking to me I'd probably be there silent as well, so it's definately not just you.
