I'm experiencing this again with certain groups of people that I'm in some ways stuck with. The message it reinforces - I'm not an adult, as a child (of 31) I need to be seen but not heard, and that really - so long as I even so much have a trace of being out of phase with society - I can look forward to receiving this from here on, that everything I have to say or think is inherently worth less, and that - since I'm not changing anytime soon, I need to learn how to sit here, take it, and accept it. Inherently I'm not a person, not a man, I technically have no right to even *think* about procreating. My understanding of this behavior - and I believe I'm right - this just one of many ways people have of saying "Know your place".
Its one more reason on my check list that I can tick off as to why I'm going stronger and stronger into atheist territory. A god would actually create a world and society in which people are supposed to operate like this and, on some level, he's stacked the rules of life in such a way to where this - and every other 'attention to eugenics' behavior we have is inherently correct based on what we're made of? BS. We're ape on ape, details like this and the sheer level of their pervasiveness prove it beyond any shadow of a doubt in my mind.
