I've been reading several very disturbing threads on WP. Nothing out of the ordinary but just the same ol' stuff that I'd consider stupid, short-sighted, narrow-minded and otherwise disagreeable. I'm not going to point those threads out... and that's pretty much the idea.
Since I decided to stop arguing on the internet, I simply close these threads that bother me and don't look back. If I'm participating in a thread and someone gets buttheady, I don't return to read that thread again or I neglect to read that person's comments. After all, I gain nothing from proving that I'm right when I already know I'm right.
It's been really refreshing and I recommend it.
