eye movement sometimes makes me uneasy.

I have a good female friend who I have trouble making eye contact with. Sometimes when she's excited about something when she talks her eyes track all over the place and it actually makes me feel uneasy. Is this a normal Aspie thing or am I just weird?

It is typically aspie, although I have to wonder, if she's a 'good friend' why do you still feel anxious around her? If you've known her for a while (which that implies) then you should naturally feel more comfortable. At least that's what happens to me... although it's rare that a relationship lasts that long on good terms in my life.

Eye movement in others effects me. And, for me darting eye movements, tracking all over the place, as you say, is unsettling to me too.

Also when someone's eyes open enough for white to show both above and below the iris simaltaneously is disturbing to me.

I can also be attracted by some eye movements. one young man in my workplace has eyes that flash back and forth which is attractive to me.

A neighbor's eyes open to show the whites disturbingly. But I have known her for a long time now and have every reason to like and trust her based upon years of contact. Although I always feel unsettled when she opens her eyes wide that way, I just ignore that feeling in myself because it's irrelavant. I do tend to look away when she does that.

She now has a boyfriend who has the same eyes as her. I know it's not just me who sees their eyes as odd. A friend told me he met my neighbor and her boyfriend in the neighborhood recently. He commented; Wow, what's with their eyes?

MountainLaurel, maybe people with AS have psychological oddities, and NT people have physical ones.
