My friend that I live in his house supposedly has AS and we got along for awhile but now we nitpick over stuff. I hate how he hardly ever cleans up dog poop in his room, and he doesn't like when I run my hands through my hair and drop hairs on his floor. He doesn't like the smell of avocado, so I get annoyed because I like eating avocado all the time. I feel like we're both too picky and I'm worried if we keep nitpicking that we won't be friends anymore. Do you have any AS friends that you hang out with and did you ever nitpick each other or learn to tolerate differences?

It is a health hazard to leave dog droppings on the floor and he should pick them up every day. Better yet, he should take the dog out to defecate. Likewise, you should sweep everyday since you apparently shed more than he can tolerate. Personally I think avocado has a mild smell so if it's something that bother him he must be very sensitive to it and you should either stop eating it or spray air freshener after you do.

Having a roommate can be hard, especially if either party is picky! If you get a chance to move out on your own and you can drive, take it!! ! There's nothing like being free and independent, but then just keep in mind that you have to go out on your own looking for others even that much moreso.
