Do you find that you don't organise events because you're terrified that no-one will go? I know this is the case with me. Because everyone has their own life and never wants to make time for stuff I would organise (a low priority).

hale_bopp, I'd come to your party. :)

As for others not coming to my events, this happened all the time. I used to plan things, but stopped, as many of the people I wanted there the most seemed to mysteriously have other committments...even if I booked an event months in advance! It didn't make any sense. People are weird though...some people don't like meeting other people outside of their social "circle", even if they all have similar personalities...which was what I think kept certain people from attending my events.

It's best to stick with other people inviting you to things. That way, there isn't the added pressure of worrying if people will come or not.

I have organised Quiz nights with a Toastmasters club I have joined. I enjoy Quiz nights and they went off without a hitch and I decided to organise them to add some socialisation in our club and to get to know the other members a bit better.

Other than that I would never organise a party and I don't go to parties or other gatherings as I don't have people to invite me. If I organised a party no one would come.

Hale_Bopp feel free to PM me. Would like to chat. I am in Christchurch :-)
