It's all in the title.

For me, it was when I was 15 and I had been having trouble with another individual who didn't quite understand what was wrong with me as they reached puberty. Like always, I would call them every night. So, there was this one time where I had them and they answered and I had said hello. They blew me off by attempting to disguise their voice and saying, "I'm sorry, you have the wrong number. " They then hung up. When I had confronted them about it the next day, they gave me a line that they had homework and therefore didn't want to be bothered.

Three years later, we reunited and I had attempted to reach out and call them. During one conversation, it was on New Year's Day when and things seem to flow nicely. It was then that they told me that they were putting me on hold because they had just begun their cycle and would need to take care of it. Then I heard them open the door in the background and their one of their friends in. They then hung up the phone.

How have you been blown off?

I have been blown off so many times by people I don't care to count or relate the stories here-they are way too hurtful to start typing.

My first ex always blew me off with his excuses when I give him advice and try and help him. Here is one of them and it went something like this:

Me: I have talked to my boss and she said I can leave work to take you to work so you can come with me to work.

Him: I don't want to be there and I would have no way of changing into my work clothes

Me: You can wear your work uniform there and you can play with my video games and listen to music using my CD player

Him: No I will look ret*d there

Me: How so?

Him: I'll look ret*d in my work uniform

Me: Then you can stay out in the car until it's time for me to take you to work

Him: But then I have no way of changing into my work uniform when you take me there

Me: You can change in the bathroom when you get there

Him: But then someone might steal my stuff

Me: You can leave my stuff in my car

Him: Someone might steal my clothes because they don't have any lockers to lock it up in

Me: You can change in the bathroom at my job before I take you so you wouldn't have to worry about it

Bla bla bla with excuses excuses excuses.

It took me a while to realize he was blowing me off because he didn't want to work so he was finding excuses and he had told his boss he can't work for three weeks because he had no ride so I thought I would help him out by still giving him a ride by taking him to work with me and then leaving for five minutes to take him to work since he only worked two miles away from me.

He was bullshitting you was what he was doing. The dude didn't want or care for your help. He was just trying to get a free ride off of you. This guy should've felt lucky. He had a job. He needed to be there no matter how ret*d he looked. I would've told him it was ret*d for him to care how ret*d he looked more than the money he was bringing in. When I look at it and truly think about it I will have to use occum's razor in this one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_razor

The most simpliest explanation is that The dude was a leech and a douchebag who just wanted to live off of you.
