I live in a house by myself and would like to have a roommate.

I am a 41 year old guy who is semi-tired of living alone.

I had a female roommate, what's the difference in having a guy roommate?
They pay the bills all the same. And besides if you team up with a guy roommate you can get girls easier! If you get a girl roommate in vein of daily "accident" walk-ins to her bathing hour, sleeping in her bed "by mistake" etc. you'll just get a restraining order and a lawsuit.

Go to a dating site, or find an activity to meet women in a slightly more honest way

Once I managed to get myself in a situation that I was living with two girls in the same house. That was a nice period. With those girls I managed to chat much more than with my other roommates for some reason. They were also my only roommates with whom I have involved in any social activities. But it was probably not mainly because they were girls, rather they were probably fine people in more general sense... Or who knows...
