There are many people who really need to know the difference between "antisocial" and "nonsocial"

Anti-social is when you are against being social, and become aggressive when tried to be put in social situation. they shun society and want to have nothing to do with it.

Nonsocial, which is documented by animals such as the "lone wolf" or "Solitary raccoon", who just prefer to not be social. Social may cause them discomfort or fear, or they may just like to be alone as opposed to around people.

Not everyone who likes to be by themselves all the time are against the idea of being social.

I prefer to be alone, by myself left to my own activities. and I am also not good with social. But that does not mean I am against social contact, it means being social is not that important to me and I am not very interested in it.

If your post were a Facebook post, I would definitely "like" it. :)
Every time people describe me as "anti-social", my first thought is "Really? Am I charming, manipulative and always lying?"

I think a lot of people see being social as the norm and imagine that it takes forcefully pushing away from it to even achieve 'neutral.' So, non-social == anti-social in their minds. They can't imagine actually feeling non-social.

Lot of people don't know what anti social is. They think it means someone who doesn't socialize or isn't sociable.

No. Being anti-social means behaving in a way which damages the society and which is deeply immoral (ex: stealing, killing, etc).
Asocial, however, means being unsocial, or in other words withdrawn from the society or not being sociable.
