would you be creeped out if someone you kind of knew but didnt really talk to a lot came and ate with you?
Not like "Uh, he
might be in one of my classes" but walk with in the halls type of acquaintance

doesn't mean much, social custom is to say yes. Unless you mean outside of the lunchroom. Then I think it would be a good idea. They would have more of a warning about it.
