A little nervous about going out as friends with someone
There is a girl that my grandparents watch for about an hour once in a while. Well her brother is going to be in town this weekend, he is 20. It was setup that he would bring me to a coffee shop with him and some friends. I don't know how much he was told. That I don't know anyone since I recently moved up here, or as much as that I have aspergers. So i was wondering if I should try to think of a probing question to ask him about it that doesn't sound too out there. (if I didn't make it clear this isn't a date, i am straight)
All they're trying to do is introduce you to some people your own age since you don't know anyone where you have moved to. Just treat it as a casual social situation. Nothing more and nothing deeper. If you get along with the people you meet than that's great, if you don't than that's fine too. Don't ask any probing questions about AS. Just ask them simple questions about things like "Do you go to school?", "Where do you work?", or "What is there to do around here?". Just basic questions like that. I don't say anything about it until I'm good friends with somebody.
Just dont talk too much sometimes we end up talking stupid things which can trigger dislike among people and then they start avoiding us...i would suggest that you talk general things about hobbies, interest, movies etc.
You will know some new people around there and if they like you they might probably be friends with you or invite you next time also.

Dont talk too much. Try not to think about talking. Just be nice and interested and polite, and it should go well. Not every social interaction is fun or meant to be all that fun you know.
I had experience like this. Sometimes thinking about socializing too much is like thinking about walking or breathing too much. Just relax a little
