Since a lot of Aspies like putting things in a certain order (I know I do), do you feel like you should only go to certain friends for certain conversational topics, and you should never deviate from that - even when you have no actual reason not to bring up the same topic to another friend? I always talk to my friends about something if I'd already mentioned it to them before, and it's extremely rare that I go for new conversational topics with someone, if I talk to them about other specific things.

Interesting idea, I probably do but I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

Yes. I can totattaly relate. Obsessions/special intrest have always been my strongest autistic trait. Growing up in the boondocks I didn't have much acess to other people, let alone people who had simalair intrests. The majority of what I would call or consider as "friends" are from the internet. Deviant Art is my home on the internet. All of my "friends" (the people I "talk" to the most I guess) on there have the same intrests as me. Simaliar intrests are the number one factor in deciding on weither or not I want to be friends with someone or not. I really hate it when total strangers want to be my friend simply because they are also autistic. I also have no desire to meet these said Deviant Art friends in person.

Thats how friends are made! Through common interests you love talking about! If there was one person who liked ballet, adn another who liked sports, they could never be real friends! Friendly maybe, but nothing really to sustain a friendship!.

Careful on the internet tails! there are a lot of bad people there. Never give out your info, and never ever go on a chatroom!
