I made a phone call, it was later responded to, the person I'd tried to call earlier was in a bad mood, and I said something really akward. I shouldn't say "Person A recommended I hang out with you, person B". That's just rude.

Yupa, that doesn't sound so bad to me. If the person who you were talking to stays offended, you should be looking for better company anyway, and he(she) may not actually be offended with you.

I do that all the time, than I move on, until I screw up and apologise again. I apologise to so many people online and offline that I could pretty well turn into an apology. At least people know that I don't mean to screw up on the social front. Maybe I apologise for my screw-ups a little too much. After all, I'm only human and I do have AS.
