I am more asking about NTs than people with AS.

It just doesn't seem to matter how someone treats other people or acts.

They will be friends with someone based on how the other person acts with them.

When I am around people with bad character, I feel uncomfortable around them no matter how they
act towards me.

Am I sensitive?

the few times i made friends were based on numerous factors including how they treated people and animals. frequently, i avoid people when i've seen signs of bad treatment/disrespect for others.

To some degree, humans are self segregating.

Alright, I'm an NT. I'm pretty outgoing myself. My brother had many student peers with Aspergers.

Right off the bat, a person's character is the last thing noticed. Clothes, attractiveness, likes, and conversation are what is noticed.

Character is the basis for how people maintain friendships. You're more likely to remain friends or become close friends with someone of good character.

So, yes and no.

OP: you're not sensitive, but you are very cautious, which is a good thing. I've learned recently that it's wise to not form any type of connection with someone you initially get a "bad vibe" from as you will end up hating them even more.

My longtime psychiatrist has confirmed that I do not qualify for an ASD diagnosis (but have traits & OCD-like traits).

Mostly keeping a distance from ASD-related things (including WP).

I've "got" AS, not an NT, BUT, the way and only way I choose friends is on character.

If one has seemingly little, or no, character then I don't even consider being friends with them.

Of course, I don't have that many friends, but what friends I do have are very valuable to me, thank God for them and all He has given me and mine.
