Is is a shame that all these people without friends can't get together in real life.

That's always rough and I am sorry you are going through that. A few things though:

1. One of the best things you can do is learn to be your own friend or your own best friend. One way to do that is by starting out looking at yourself in the mirror and be kind to yourself. "I love you and I think you are a cool person. I really like your interests etc." You eventually ask yourself if you want because I heard this is a good trick to loving yourself and attracting others
A. Go out for coffee
B. Play your favorite video games
C. See a movie

2. As for the people who aren't interested in you, well it's their loss.
