This thread is for aspies looking for the in-person company of fellow aspies within their geographic region it is not for casual sexual encounters, nor is it for those seeking lifelong commitments. Posting in this thread means you are looking for some aspie company to do the odd semi-social activity with and have some intelligent company and conversation. This may or may not lead into sexual or romantic encounters, you can decide that on a case by case basis.We do have Aspie Affection for this as well, but in my opinion this has a lot of bugs and makes it too difficult to find a good match with the inane questions it asks. I will keep mine simple. If all you want is anonymous sex with a total stranger, I recommend Craigslist. They have many pages devoted to finding that. Long term romances may result from these, but are not the focus. The intent here is just to meet and get to know other aspies in your area, have some intelligent conversation, and hopefully have a good time.

Posting in this thread means you are open to being PMed or emailed by people who meet your criteria. I am going to define "nearby" as within a few hours travel, as I don't think we're going to get any better than that. If you have more stringent travel requirements, you can indicate that in your post. Your post should include your approximate age and gender as well as the age and general range you are looking for, as well as a general appraisal of your interests and what you would enjoy sharing with someone else who was actually interested in it. You can share other personal information if you like, but it is not required.

I'll go first. I'm located in eastern Connecticut. I'm a 27 year old male seeking a female my age approximately plus or minus 9 years. I am married, but my wife is on an extended trip to Texas, and has given me permission to seek other contacts here. I enjoy computers and mathematics. I have a very logically oriented brain. I also enjoy hiking and exploring new scenery and going to places I haven't been to before. I love abandoned ruins when I can find them, and my ultimate goal in life is to create a simulated universe that I can walk around in and explore. I love contemplating the mysteries of the universe, of how we exist and why, of how the world and the universe should be run, and am still trying to work out the details of that and am having regular breakthroughs in that regard. I have a lot of thoughts about how aspies and NTs should exist together in society that I am also still trying to work out. I would love to discuss the ideas of anyone else who has thought along similar lines or just go on an exploration expedition. If any of this sounds at all interesting, send me a message and we will hang out. I recently moved to the Chicago area. My interest is in meeting any aspie, any age, any gender for conversation to learn how other aspies think and feel. Since I was only recently diagnosed four months ago at age 63, I have never met other aspies in real life.

I am in the process of divorce from my wife of 22 years and have an aspie son who is 17; they are in Minnesota. I grew up in Chicago but lived in Minnesota for the last 30 years.
