What's the definition of friend in this context?
Should I consider my brother a friend? I sometimes go to his room to watch him play video games, or play at his computer while he watches.
We have loads of inside jokes, but we can't talk about anything that isn't related to video games (or some 'so bad it's hilarious' kind of things, like that Batman movie with Mr. Freeze constantly making horrible ice puns, but it has to be something we've both experienced and I can't talk about something funny I found by myself or he doesn't respond). I don't really know what kind of person he is other than that he's very introverted, I don't know if he has interests other than video games and I don't know what his ideals are or anything. I have asked my mother about some of those things because I'm curious but she hasn't been able to answer very well.
Also sometimes a cousin of ours comes to visit, rarely though, and he's more my brother's friend than mine. I find him rather annoying.
No, family doesn't count. My family thinks I'm awesome regardless. One of the biggest shocks was attending college after being homeschooled and finding out the world disagreed.
