have anyone ever had friends defending you and speaking for you when others bothered you? i had numerous people stick up for me. especially boys and i often became attracted to them. i liked it because it felt like i was getting attention.

I've definitely had friends defend me. it's one of the benefits of having good friends.

Yes , and it was actually quite recently, though it wasn't quite defending me as it was re-affirming their trust in me and promising that they would support and defend me if I needed it. It was about a week after the Sandy Hook massacre and three weeks after a similar incident in Casper up the road from here (same premise, suspected aspie went postal in a murder-suicide, only it wasn't as publicized because the casualty count was only 2 plus the perp, and instead of an assault rifle he took the Katniss Everdeen option and used a bow & arrows).

Basically I was voicing the same concerns we all had about being labeled a psycho killer because of the supposed connection with autism, and they said they knew I was better than that, I was a good person and a good friend and anyone who said otherwise was an ignoramus and were welcome to go f**k themselves. Kyuuchan (former ex turned friend) even offered to hug me until I felt better. (She never did but that was because she was driving at the time and probably forgot about it after we got out.)

Thank Goddess for my friends, they are truly blessings to me.

I get pissed, then put them on my block list. It's like Stephen Colbert's On Notice/Dead to Me list. Except mine is called the "Never Existed to Me" list.

When I was bullied at school, some teachers pointed out that this was not OK and thereby defended me.

Following this example, some students did the same thing. They weren't exactly my friends (I didn't have any friends at that time), but they knew me and they felt some sort of pity for me.
