Hi, extroverts...
In the past, when I was still young and ignorant, I didn't have much tolerance for personality traits that differ from mine. However, I have learnt that if I want to grow as a person, I should understand differences instead of shunning these differences. As an introvert, I have always wondered about how extroverts view their own extroversion. I have learnt from various websites that extroversion=energized through interactions with people. Many people have also told me that extroverts far outnumber introverts. Let me explain why I'm so comfortable with introversion. To all extroverts: Maybe explain why you're so comfortable with extroversion? Thank you.
"I tend to feel tired after interacting with people even when such interactions go well. Maybe the process of translating thoughts into words sap my energy. Strangely, to me, writing isn't as tiring as speaking. When I write, I don't have to worry about stuff such as "Am I speaking too quickly or slowly?" and "Am I speaking too loudly or slowly?"
This seems to be more a AS/NT thing, rather than Introvert/Extrovert.
The minds of AS' simply get highly overloaded during large social interactions, especially stuff where there's a lot of stuff to keep track of (Parties or other stuff with lots of people). This just doesn't happen with NT, whom from what I've heard actually find random socializing fun.
That said, AS extroverts (Probably a higher tolerance for social interaction) and NT Introverts (Most likely shunned due to whatever difference; most likely reduced for AS Extroverts) Do exist.
