I am one of the weirdest aspergers adults you would ever meet I love to party and meet new people. Everyone has a unique story and I love to find it. All the time and like since I have now hit twenty one there are all sorts of new experiences and I am having the time of my life. In this pic I met these two ladies in orlando while my high school was recording at disney. And i still speak to them this day. Is there anyone out there that just loves people?

I wouldnt say I love meeting people.

However Ive been putting myself out there as much as I can since march because i need to get better at it.

- I go to a conversational club where I was almost asked to become the organiser(schedule issues made me take a break when they were looking for a new one)
- I have several places to go to just to interact with random people if i feel like doing so which is about once a week

In theory, I love to meet people. I love to learn about how another person sees the world, how another person experiences and responds to his or her life events, and how these different perspectives relate or deviate from my own.

That being said, in practice, meeting new people seems to include just "shooting the s**t" about boring, stock topics like sports, news, or the weather. It probably has to do with the kind of people I seem to find at college, but I have definitely become more cynical since arriving here three years ago.

That being said, when I do meet new people and can get an eye into how they see the world, it is just as rewarding as I imagine it in theory. I just wish it happened more often...

I'm the same way.

The biggest reason why I took up a volunteer job at a thrift store was to get more social interaction and learn to deal with people/improve my social skills.

i like to meet new people too. i especially like meeting people when i know it will be a one-time only thing, then there is no pressure of ever having to talk to them again.

is this thread related to love or dating, or do you want me to move it to a more suitable area of the forum?

I want to meet people, but things get in the way. Still there's an occasional event or party that feels good (but exhausts me greatly).

My son. Funny, I was talking about that recently - "what does my son love most?" and it's to be with people. You can take away his electronics as consequences but what will hurt more is giving him "solo" time. He just doesn't like doing things alone. (I wouldn't take away "people" as a consequence, btw - unless, of course, he was hurting them physically).
