Scared about meeting someone for the first time?

I met this really amazing person(through this site, sorry if it's weird to see a post about you, if you see this) and I feel super connected and like "THIS IS MY NEW BEST FRIEND" and he just GETS a lot of my personal stuff and yeah.

But I have this fear of meeting up..? I've met lots of people from the internet. I'm trying to figure out where this fear is coming from, this reluctance... it's not like me.

Have you ever met someone you've talked to online, did it make you nervous etc?

Everyone get's nervous about meeting for the first time. Just organise to meet in a public place, then it'll probably be fine.

And yes, I was nervous about meeting up with a girl for the first time, who I met through OKCupid.

It's not like a dating thing or anything. I think I just wanted a back and forth here to stop being nervous about it.

Fair enough. But even if it's not about dating, you were talking about meeting up and I personally think that's the same kind of social situation. You want to meet up with someone you've met on-line but who you haven't met in person before. I think if you do that then you must always keep safety in mind.

I think he should be more concerned for his safety than me. But we're definitely going to hang out in public before I dare invite him to my secret lair.
