Just as the title says, post any milestones you've made in regards to social skills and friend making! No matter how insignificant they may seem, to others they could serve as a sign that things can get better so lets get to it!

My milestone is scoring a job at panera bread about a year ago! It's a miracle that I was hired seeing as how I hardly spoke during the interview but working around such outgoing and social personalities have really been beneficial to my growth! I still have my moments but I like to think that I am making progress everyday.
Now share your stories!

Since being diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer I have had difficulty making a schedule and adhering to it.[not because of being physically incapable so much as being overwhelmed by the cancer treatment plus several other traumatic events since being diagnosed] Today, I not only was able to complete everything on the list but was able to add a few more tasks that I also completed. I am proud of myself. [LOVE THIS THREAD}

After being on SSDI for almost a year, I may have a part-time job. I've been working with NTI, which has a contract with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation in PA. Meijor, the big grocery store chain in the upper Midwest is looking for telephone customer service reps for seasonal work. NTI also has listing for reps for the IRS. Those of us on the spectra (autistic, bipolar, and schizophrenic) that are interested should apply first to your state's vocational rehab office, then apply to NTI at www.nti-central.com

My milestone would be having a romantic fling, with a girl I met on a cruise. She was even engaged. It happened last year, and I was 29 at the time. (I was very shocked---although I didn't show it---that someone cheated with me, rather than on me.)
