I was with my roommates and we were just chilling around, but I am not so sure about a few things:

1. We were just playing around and were just seeing who could do a trollface well, just experimenting to see who could do the one. I apparently can do it really well and they were keeping on insisting that I do it again, but I kept saying "no". One of them just took a photo of me doing it and they promptly deleted it after.

2. We were watching a movie together and they saw a couple arguing madly and one of my friends was like "That's you and your wife there" and I was like "Dude, seriously?" in a stern tone and then the other was smiling at my other friend.

3. When my friend was ordering pizza for himself, I suggested that he could share with us than have it all for himself, then my other friend was smiling at him saying "Dude, don't be so selfish."

So please help me here: Were my friends just horsing around or not?

Horsing around: Yes.

Maybe also unknowingly providing some helpful feedback? Perhaps.

Congratulations on catching the non-verbal communications in the room. (I have heard it said that 80% of communication is non-verbal.) In such situations, I try to take whatever information I perceive being non-verbally passed along under advisement. I may very well misperceive or misunderstand, but it nonetheless provides a rich source of things upon which I can later reflect for possible opportunities for self-improvement.
