Hey,

It has come to my attention that several relatives thought I smelled. I can't blame them, but I have an issue with certain grooming routines. No matter how hard I try, I can't get a part down pat, I sometimes dont brush my teeth when there is no school (since I sit around the house anyways), and the biggy, I don't use the soap in the shower and I don't particularly like deodarent(unless it is for a date), since I don't like the idea of excess aluminum in my system, but I am not sure if I can afford any alternatives. I usually use alcohol for my arm pits. The major thing is routine. When I am on a Civilization marathon, many things don't matter. So do any of yous deal with this?

Because it was never part of my "routine". And cleaning, besides my hair, was not my main concern.

try adding deodorant soap to your routine. could help with the odor issue.

I am also not keen on aluminum.

I may well be wrong, but I think aluminum is an ingredient of anti-perspirants, and is not often found in deodorants. So maybe finding and acceptable deodorant without aluminum could be a workable compromise.

Because I am only around people once each week, I also eschew the American preoccupation with daily baths. But I do brush and floss my teeth after each meal, just because it pleases me to do so. I find life plenty challenging without setting myself up for dental problems.

I never liked anti-antiperspirant/deodorant because it makes me itch, maybe it's the aluminum?
Also having to use pay machines for laundry results in me wearing things a little longer than I should.

Going to get the Crystal stuff. Apparently it does not have all the crap in it.

My fiancé is an Aspie and he rarely wears deodorant too. But lucky for him, he doesn't sweat that easily and he doesn't stink. I wish I had that problem! But he does use soap in the shower. I do have to remind him to put on deodorant if we go hiking or something along those lines, otherwise he wont do it.

Even though I try to take a shower every morning before starting my day, there are mornings (on work days I should add) that I skip a shower. Depending on whether or not I'll have dealings with other people on the weekends, I may choose to forgo showering altogether on Saturday and Sunday. The next Monday morning, of course, I clean myself completely.

I have no significant issues with any bathing products.

My issue isn't soap, it is the deodorant. If it did not have the chemicals in it, I would use it more often.

Crystal deodorants are very natural in construct.
It's also possible to get organic liquid/ball deodorants.

True. This was the cheapest, at least on Walmart.com, so I am going for that.

Anti-persperants contain the aluminium your concerned about.

If you use a deodorant like Speed Stick it doesn't have that, and it's cheap.

You could try to make a list of things to do.

Do you carry a book bag or anything? Or drive? I always keep a bottle of mouth wash in my car just in case.

Not smelling bad is an important thing and one thing you have some control over.

Years ago I got on this "all natural kick". I tried that crystal deodorant. It doesn't work. Regular deodorant is fine, if the aluminum in it was so harmful we would all be dead.

you need lavilin deodorant cream - it lasts a few days and is made of natural ingredients

I would suggest you incorporate soap (i only use Dove - it's pH neutral and doesn't dry your skin) into your shower routine and get into a routine of having a shower daily or you will find it very difficult to get a keep an girlfriend.

being cheap on items that are meant to keep your body in good shape is counter productive. ditto with food

I shower everyday, and have been incorporating it. Got some natural stuff, only 2.97 . So kinda happy.
